Leptopoda

Leptopoda is a pleasant village situated on a high rock between the mountains of Amani and Pelinneo, 60 km far from Chios Town. Today only about 30 people live in the village during the winter season, while in summer the population increases due to the arrival of villagers who spend holidays in their summer homes. The houses are built so close to each other, so that looking from outside you can see a continuous wall without interruptions.

Villages

Pirama

Pirama is situated at 220m of altitude, North-West of Volissos and 44km far away from Chios Town. Tourist can see the Venetian Tower near Aplada, the school building, the chapels spread across the village and the church of Agios Ioannis Prodromos (St. John).

The local festival takes place on August 29th.
