Parparia
Parparia is a small village of farmers and cattle-breeders at 300 meters of altitude at the west mountainside of Amani, 54km far away from Chios Town and 13km from Volissos.
Parparia is a really ancient site: Stavros Stefanidis has been studying the history and origin of this village after he found an old map of Chios in the Koraes Library telling that Parparia was at least almost 600 years old.

Melanios
Melanios is a little village  60 km far from Chios Town.
From the Black Crag you can enjoy an
amazing view, especially of the sunset.
The new Wind Park of the Public Electricity Company is situated now where there were the old wind mills once. The local festival of Melanios takes place on July 7th.
