Keramos
Keramos is situated 56 km far away from Chios Town and about 14km from Volissos, and it comes into sight through rich vegetation between the

mountains of Amani and Pelinneo. Its port, called Agiasmata, was in the past the centre of commerce of the surrounding villages, especially for the antimony, while Keramos is well-known since ancient times for its tile of clay and the antimony mines, the latter having made of Keramos one of the most important villages of Amani municipality for several decades up to the mid Sixties. Galleries, the premises and its equipment of the last company who exploited the mines, the chemical laboratory, the kiln and the chimney have established an industrial museum of antimony, the sole one of this kind in all the Balkan area.
